JOC donated 10 million yen (to the Japan Red Cross)
5. Relief funds
Acceptance of relief funds for the victims of the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake has ended with effect from end Jul 2011. The total amount of relief funds collected was 30,297,360 yen. The relief funds will be sent to the Japan Red Cross for the benefit of the disaster victims.
6. Charity events organized by JOC (Olympic Concert etc.)
7. Dissemination of messages at international sports meets
Through the dissemination of messages, we hope to further unite the Japanese Olympic team and deliver the best performances for the benefit of the disaster regions and to express our gratitude to the various countries and regions who extended their support.
8. Dispatch of study mission
Under the support of the "TSUBASA" IOC Support Project, a study mission will be conducted with the aim of providing opportunities for promising, young sports men and women from the disaster regions to personally experience international sporting meets in the hope that they will contribute towards sports activities in future.
